Mongolia Han Novel Image Research

The present study is a tentative endeavor to combine the theory of imagologie of comparative literature with Mongolian literature. Taking the works of Jinyong and Jiangrong as examples, the author tries to study on the characteristics of the Mongolian image in Chinese long novel and attempts to explore its reasons.This thesis is composed of introduction, chapter one, chapter two and conclusion. The introduction part reviews the previous studies on works of Jinyong and Jiangrong at home and abroad, and then deals with research purpose, significance and methodology of the thesis. Based on the theory of imagologie of comparative literature, chapter one analyzes the natural scenery, human landscape and Mongolian image in Mongolian area that are described in the works of Jinyong and Jiangrong. Chapter two briefly summarizes the Han Chinese collective imagination of society about Mongolian then explores the two writers'standpoint and attitude towards collective imagination of society in the process of shaping Mongolian image and finally analyzes the cultural misunderstanding in the two writers'works and tries to seek out the reasons. According to the findings of the thesis, the conclusion part evaluates the two writers'works and makes prospect on the Mongolian imagologie of comparative literature.
