This paper sees Xiao Hong's retained manuscript as a mirror to look into the fate of her life, to explore her literary world through its ups and downs, and to find the inner spirit of Xiao Hong and her poetic expression of this process. Xiao Hong was always loyal to her own life experiences, she put her own life experiences and awareness into her works, marking her works with profound impression of life. She relied on her own feelings, taken her spiritual wandering as clues, perched her soul for the purpose, and followed the guide of her soul to reach the perfect combination of thought and art. This paper is divided into three chapters:Part I. Discuss the lost of Xiao Hong's life paradise from the deconstruction of "home" and the reflection of her hometown. Firstly, deconstruct the"home"both from the author's own departing of her family and her subversion of traditional family ethic in her works, and highlight her suspicion and challenge of traditional culture. Secondly, rethink the definition of"home"from both paying attention to the individual style of living of the people in her hometown and asking about the life value of oneself, reflect her ideas of transforming national characters, and rise to the philosophic questioning about the meaning and the value of life.Part II. Discuss the reconstruction of Xiao Hong's spiritual paradise both from the construction of"home"and the love of hometown. Seeking for "warmth and love" and always having a "vision and pursuit of forever," Xiao Hong built a childhood full of happiness with her pure innocence by recalling her own childhood, her grandfather and his little garden, reaching the agreement on reflection and self-identity and looking for somewhere to place her mind. She also rebuilt her spiritual paradise by her continuous writing of the natural scenery, local customs and the wild vitality of native people.Part III. Discuss the different narrative in Xiao Hong's when she return her spiritual paradise. First, the article begins with model of"return structure"presented in the text and the typical images the writer selected to analyze the relentless pursuit of spiritual home. In Xiao Hong's works, the form of structure she presented was like a double posture: the surface of it included three narrative patterns from gain/ loss, leave/ return, to watching / being watched; the deep structure is the "trend circle" of a semicircle and the spiral structure, indicating that the return can only be spiritual. At the same time, the image of door under Xiao Hong's works is described in this paper, revealing her desire and pursuit of spiritual home. Second, the paper has a discussion on the art features of Xiao Hong's integration of lyrical narrative and ironic narrative. Xiao Hong's are always accompanied by emotion and irony, the former is the essence of Xiao Hong's art, the latter is Xiao Hong Self-conscious pursuit for the art, both in the works in different forms, form a kind of conflict but consolidation qualities.
