Yan Parental Instruction "family Ethics And Modern Value Study

Yan Zhitui was a renowned educator and thinker in Wei-Jin and Northern-Southern Dynasties. His representative works, Yan Family Instructions, which is honored as "ancestor of the Chinese Family Instructions", is a great milestone-style work in the history of the Chinese Family Instructions. It is not only regarded as a salvation for then people, but still has realistic reference for modern society and family. Through methods of literature methodology and applying theories to reality, and on the basis of previous study achievement, the thesis makes an overall exploration on the root and core content of the family ethics of Yan Family Instructions in combination with the current situation of social ethics and moral and personal growth process. Focusing on the problems in domestic Family ethics, the thesis makes an attempt to make a survey on its ethical thought more objectively so as to serve for the construction of a harmonious modern family ethics.
