Northern Shaanxi Qin And Han Dynasty Great Wall Protection And Management Of Research

The Great Wall, an extremely magnificent military defensive project in Ancient China, is a super cultural heritage from our ancestors. The Qin-Han Great Wall in the Northern Shaanxi is an important part of the Great Wall in China, which was built in the reign of King Zhao in Qin State during the Warring States Period, repaired and reused during the times of Emperor Qin Shi Huang and the Han Dynasty, and thus it possesses rich and profound historical culture intension.Through the investigations of the early Great Wall in Shaanxi Province in 2009, we learned that the Great Wall in northern Shaanxi Province was about 500 kilometers, passing through Shenmu County, Yuyang District, Hengshan County, Jingbian County, Zhidan county, and Wuqi County from northeast to southwest. Firstly, in this paper we introduced in detail the location and the regional environment of Qin-Han Great Wall in Northern Shaanxi, analyzed the causes of destruction in the Great Wall, and pointed out that the artificial destruction is the main threat to the safety of the Great Wall. Secondly, we analyzed the current situation of protecting and administering the Qin-Han Great Wall in Northern Shaanxi, pointed out the major problems of the current management, and summarized that under the present administration system for the cultural heritage protection, in order to protect the Great Wall, we should improve and perfect the protection system of the Great Wall from three levels, that is, the government, the professional organizations for preservation and management, and the masses. Finally, based on the comprehensive analysis of the successful case of the Hadrian's Wall, we pointed out some measures for the overall protection and management of the Qin-Han Great Wall in Northern Shaanxi.
