This paper mainly focuses on the historical and theoretical background of "Korsch issue", theoretically analyze the issue and based on which present the revelation by discussing the issue. This paper argues that the problem of the relationship between Marxism and philosophy raised by Korsch is formed in the reflection of the failure of the proletarian revolution in the historical background of the decline of Western civilization the early 20th century. Korsch thought that the orthodox Marxists' understanding of the nature of Marxism is one of the causes of the failure. Starting from his own understanding, Korsch criticized the philosophy view of bourgeois and the Marxist philosophy view of the Second International and the Third International. In this criticism, based on dialectic, Korsch explained his understanding of the nature of Marxism and argued that Marxism has the nature of both philosophy and anti-philosophy. In the process of understanding Korsch's argument, the paper presents that Korsch's unique interpretation on one hand opens a new way of interpretation of Marxism different from traditional Marxism from Engels, which has great significance of breaking the dogmatism, and on the other hand, Korsch clearly put forward his own understanding of the nature of Marxism in this kind of interpretation. Although this understanding is faced by its own theoretical dilemma and meanwhile still has limitations in solving the problem of the consciousness of the proletarian revolution raised by Korsch himself, his theoretical exploration give us the revelation of the revolutionary transformation from modern to contemporary times of philosophy history accomplished by Marx, which is of great enlightening significance for us to re-understand Marxism today.
