| Karl Korsch is one of the early representative people of western Marxism,which is honored as “saint” in the western Marxist tradition.What makes Korsch had such honor is his book 《Marxism and philosophy》.《Marxism and philosophy》and 《History and Class Consciousness》were published in the same year,which criticized the vulgar Marxism of the Second International.On this basis,they carried out a fundamental restatement of Marxist philosophy.By reflecting on the experience and lessons of failure of the socialist revolution in Western Europe,he believed that among the many factors affecting the success of the revolution in Western Europe,the theorists of the Second International played a key role in the vulcanization,proof and ideological tendency of Marxism.In order to achieve the victory of socialist revolution in the whole European region,it is necessary to re-establish the connection between Marxism and philosophy in the theory so that the proles can break the shackles of ideology and connect theoretical discussion with revolutionary practice.Korsch maintains that “the principle of totality” is the essence of Marxist theory,and the organic combination of the theoretical and practical,revolutionary and critical Marxism is the first task of developing Marxism.This principle runs through the whole content of Korsch’s thought.Under the guidance of this principle,Korsch criticized the Second International and the Third International Marxism,promoted the development of the proletariat revolution,and the re-understanding of Marxist theory and practice.Through the systematic and comprehensive analysis of Korsch’s Marxist philosophy,the deep exploration and interpretation of Korsch’s Marxist philosophy is helpful for us to understand and grasp the evolutionary path of Western Marxism from the perspective of revolution.While affirming the contribution of Korsch to the development of Marxist theory,it also analyzed the theoretical dilemma of Korsch’s thought.It let us to grasp the spirit of Marxism comprehensively and accurately by all kinds of efforts in these theories,breaking the dogmatic understanding of Marxism,and thus promoting the creative development of Marxism. |
