Novels of Yuan Dynasty, as an important period of the history of Chinese novel development go after the Tang Dynasty and the Song Dynasty meanwhile coming before the Ming and the Qing dynasties. In the Yuan Dynasty light literature was prevailing.Novels in classical Chinese were meeting its lowest point as a result of the small number of works and its relatively lower position in literature.The existent books at present could only be found occasionally in the articles written by the Eclectics or about the miscellaneous histories appearing in the official and private bibliographies in successive dynasties.In the field of novel study, the research on novels written in the vernacular has been done at relatively closer range than those in classical Chinese.In the whole field of novels in classical Chinese, much more study in the Six Dynasties, the Tang Dynasty and the Ming and the Qing dynasties has been considered than that in the Yuan and the Song Dynasties.Specific works with summative evaluation was even scarce in the arrangement and study of its documents.But the novels have its considerable value of Historical Documents and its Documentary value.Some of the Chinese classical novels about the people's stories and Historical storys are helpful to the study of history.And some depict stories about gods and spirits which are absurd or project reality providing a lot of materials for the creation of the novels of the Ming and the Qing dynasties.The collation of references about this novel plays an active and constructive role for us in studying further these novels in order to build a complete structure of literature history in the Yuan dynasty and make clear the sequence of the development of Novels in classical Chinese.The compilation of Art literature of Ming history is the beginning of recompiling atmosphere,exactly the Qing Confucians added compilation for Art literature. In the Qing Confucianism added-compilation of art literature of Yuan history, the most far-reaching influence are art literature of added three dynasties history, art literature of added Liao and Jin history and art literature of added Yuan history , respectively made by Menzhao Jin, Yuji Huang and Wenchao Lu, Daxin Qian.
