AFTER 80 literature phenomenon, as is known to us, is one of the most remarkable phenomena in Chinese literary world in the late 20th century. a number of young Writers that are called AFTER 80 who were born in 80s 20c have appeared on the scene of the society in this time. Though many people do not believe that AFTER 80 writers come into the hall of literature, it has become a culture phenomenon. The appearance of AFTER 80 literature is not an accidently event, but a result of cooperative movement coming from many societal potencies. Depending upon the analysis on the writers and the works of AFTER 80, we can draw a conclusion that AFTER 80 literature is an adolescent literature, and has a lot of qualities in common itself.This thesis is made up of three chapters. The first chapter not only analyses their important Culture Environment where AFTER 80 are in, including Business Culture, Popular Culture and the internet culture, but also discuss the relationship between the AFTER 80 literature and these cultures. The second chapter analyses the thoughts of their works. Such the themes as freedom, love and rebel that are chanted recurrently in their works. The third chapter probes into not only their art techniques such as narrative features, language features, and rhetorical features used in their works, but also their shortcomings.
