Tang Dynasty royal kings as the relatives of emperors who were in the process of historical development have played a certain role, but in the lasted three hundred years Tang Dynasty ruled the royal kings'political status is not immutable. Chapter one from the perspective of the relations between central and local, made research about Tang Dynasty royal kings'certain changes of the political status, and found that Gaozu entrust royal kings to guard the local, and they played a crucial role in national unification process; Taizong and Gaozong inherited the policy of royal kings guarding the local, this policy was destructed during the period of Wuzetian, which was abolished by Xuazong, and most of the Tang Dynasty Emperors inherited Xuanzong's policy. With the changes royal kings had a high position the reign of Gaozu, Taizong, and Gaozong, and they fell during the period of Xuazong, who had a low status after Xuanzong.Chapter two studied the particular historical phenomenon which royal kings take command of army in Emperors Zhaozong's regime, the phenomenon was mainly due to strong military of local forces and Tang Dynasty was at the eve of destruction. This situation forced Tang Zhaozong change the policy of previous emperors, he ordered royal kings to lead an army, who hoped to build her own strong fan for the military to eliminate the threat of local forces. But then some of local forces were very strong and, the central army troops of Tang Dynasty were unable to compete with local forces'military governors, therefore the policy of Emperor Tang Zhaozong royal kings leaded an army failed. This chapter mainly deals with the cause of the particular historical phenomenon which royal kings take command of army in Emperors Zhaozong's regime, the establishment and battle effectiveness of this army, and the reason of this policy's failure.Chapter three had a study of royal kings'social life, and Mainly deal with the problem about the change of royal kings'political status. This chapter reflected their political status by the changes of entertainment and marriage, and gave the reasons for these changes occurred.
