The old Tibetan history, an important part of Tibetan Studies, plays an important role in studying the formation and development of the Tibetan people. This paper researches the royal political marriage at earlier stage of old Tibetan dynasty, studying how it influences the domestic and international situation of old Tibetan. At this period each political marriage is closely related to the society, inevitably, making a difference on the old Tibet’s development to some extent. Studying the royal political marriage is useful for researching the old Tibetan society and history.The article is divided into six parts:Firstly, the introduction, including the significance of the topic, the definition of conceP.T. and the difficulty, studies the feasibility analysis of the topic; The first chaP.T.er focuses on Gnam-ri-srong-btsan’s marriage, in which as the lack of historical records we infer that his mother’s marriage, slightly appearing to be a political marriage, belongs to the clan marriage; ChaP.T.er II studies the marriage of Srong-btsan Sgam-po, where discusses the causes and consequences of marriages with the following wives in five parts:Lha-gcig-khri-btsun, Princess Wencheng, Gung-srong-gung-btsan, three other wives and Sad-mar-kar. As Gung-srong-gung-btsan has only reigned for a short time, for convenience we incorporate his marriage into this chaP.T.er; ChaP.T.er Ⅲ marriage researches the marriage of Mang-slon-mang-btsan, including the Imperial-matrimony with Tang dynasty, Khri-ma-lod and Princess Mang-pangs. In this period, as the Imperial-matrimony with Tang dynasty becoming an important strategy in old Tibetan military war, the force of Btsan-po chose marriages inside families to aggrandize the power, in order to fight with the force of mGar. ChaP.T.er four works on the marriage of Btsan-po Khri-vdus-srong including marriage with Tang dynasty princess, marriage with Princess mChims, combination with Princess Chog[ro] and marriages of two princesses with foreigners. Similarly, the Imperial-matrimony with Tang dynasty still plays an important role in old Tibetan military war to Tang dynasty, which has caused thatmarriage with Princess mChims, combination with Princess Chog[ro] and marriages of two princesses with foreigners are the results of Btsan-po Khri-vdus-srong’s strategy to fight with the force of mGar. At last we can conclude from the above that the royal political marriage matters a lot. |
