On The Tang Dynasty Bronze Mirror In Decorative Patterns

The emblazonries of the Tang Dynasty Bronze Mirrors are the epitome of the culture meaning at that time. We can touch the pulse of the times by them. This paper wants to explore the social and cultural meaning of the art of Tang Dynasty bronze mirrors by emblazonry. The emblazonries are rich and colorful, especially in the ancient Chinese bronze mirrors. The different emblazonries are the reason of multifarious types of the bronze mirrors. Through the four type decoration--animal ornamentation emblazonry, fairy tale characters emblazonry and religious symbols emblazonry—to found the reason of the popular application and the expression of the Chinese bronze mirrors. Modern art and design also were influenced by the beautiful Chinese bronze mirrors emblazonry. The paper has given some examples in wall-painting, jewelry design, cloth design and indoor design, to explain the new usability of emblazonry.
