Into the 21st century, accelerating the pace of global economic integration, China and the rest of the world become more frequently in the international exchanges and cooperation. This is the new demands to be made to the English teaching, one of which is not only teach students English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, text structure, but also should be consider the reform cross-cultural communication from this point. That is not only to train students to use their language proficiency, but also to train students that use appropriate language to cultivate the ability to intercultural communication. English teaching should switch to English education. After graduation students can use the English language for successful intercultural communication.This paper is divided into five parts, namely: first, the research background and research questions. I propose the objective of the study, significance and methods. The second, related research and analysis. Explained the relevant concepts and research situation. The third, there are some intercultural communication problems in university English teaching. The traditional teaching model can not meet the community's development needs. University English teachers in their own education are short of intercultural communication ability. A comprehensive language ability of students is strong but poor intercultural understanding. University English teaching and English language teaching in primary and secondary is out of touch. The forth, to solve the above problem, the author proposes the following measures. First one is the aim and content. Second one is English medium and intercultural training methods. Third one is to enhance intercultural awareness of students of specific methods. Fourth one is to strengthen the non-verbal communication of knowledge learning. Fifth one is to improve the quality of English teachers. Sixth one is to overcome the culture interference of English teaching. The last one is to develop the ability of cultural empathy.As China's education system and the impact of the baton of exam of university entrance, university teachers and students on how to coordinate in their daily language teaching and intercultural teaching is indeed a difficult problem. There are the need for further discussion of testing and examination in English language content and cultural content ratio and exam the specific contents of intercultural communication. In addition, the impact of intercultural communicative competence may be other important factors to study in subsequent discussion.
