As"the most important and successful teaching reform in recent ten years", Cooperative Learning has great effects on improving social psychological atmosphere, increasing the most students'academic performance and promoting the students'good non-cognitive qualities. On the basis of collecting, analyzing and arranging a lot of materials about cooperative learning, the thesis combines some examples in class to explore the practice and application of cooperative learning in secondary vocational art school students'computer studies, which conducts comprehensive research on current situation of the students and their computer studies by using the method of survey, interview and experiment.This paper consists of five parts.Part One: Introduction. This part states the background, significance and current situation of home and abroad on this topic briefly, indicating that Cooperative Learning is of great importance on improving the students'study interests, learning capability and cooperative ability in secondary vocational art schools.Part Two: Outline of Cooperative Learning. This thesis gives an outline of Cooperative Learning in term of definition, theoretical foundation and basic elements and puts forward the principles and methods of Cooperative Learning.Part Three: Computer application basic course and Cooperative Learning in secondary vocational art schools. The thesis gives an analysis of the current teaching situation of the computer application basic course, proposes the advantages of Cooperative Learning and develops teaching plans of Cooperative Learning.Part Four: The practical research on Cooperative Learning in the teaching of computer application basic course. Practice is divided into three stages. The first stage is the pre-test and skills training, which is to know about the academic level, interests in learning, communication skills, cooperative awareness of the new students and to cultivate a certain cooperative skills. The second stage is the teaching experiment, which is to carry out a one-year teaching practice and illustrates the integrated use of cooperative learning in teaching applications in terms of two teaching examples, computer hardware system and the software of Word. The third stage is the analysis of experimental data, which is to give the examinations to the experimental class and control class before the end of experiment and after the experiment.Part Five: Summary. Firstly, this thesis draws the conclusion according to the analysis of experimental data. Secondly, this thesis points out the limitations and shortcomings of the experiment, such as the differences of the students' majors, insufficient teaching periods, improper role of the teachers, passive cooperation of individual students, etc. Finally, according to my practical experience, the thesis put forward some principles of Cooperative Learning of computer application basic course in secondary vocational art schools. For instance, the efficiency of contextual lead-in, the design and practice features of the tasks, participation fully in teachers'supervision and instruction, the varieties and transparency of evaluation. The thesis puts forward some teaching suggestions for these principles.
