The emergence of"YanCai paintings"and disputes are the artist awared to the importance of the techniques of painting materials and language of painting materials. No matter in YanCai paintings, Chinese paintings, oil paintings, prints and other fields of art, materials have been a common topic in contemporary art. We discuss the premise of this topic is: first, do not have to put some barriers from our traditions, and argue with what can be called YanCai paintings or what can't. To explore the core of this phenomenon does not lie in the adoption of this article as a criterion to determine the particular type of work should be referred to as YanCai paintings or ZhongCai paintings, or to discuss what materials can been used. In this paper, the real intention is to allow us to rethink the painting materials and techniques as the concept of vector, which has a real value. That is, how to through the materials to transfer the artist's concept better, Integrating of the arts to express the artists own experience for the present society, it is really worthy of discussion about this topic. Awareness the material's aesthetic features and understanding of correct performance of materials, and boldly try a variety of it, will help to grasp the performance of the corresponding methods, and built up a relatively stable form of expression. Only come to this step, will YanCai paintings naturally have a distinctive artistic style and unique image.
