Zhang Chengzhi Prose

Zhang Chengzhi is one of the most important writer in contemporary literature, and his achievements in the novel occupies an important position in contemporary literature. Although ,from the early nineties in the last century, the author has given up the novel style and consciously used prose to express his feeling, thinking, and so on. The academic study of Zhang Chengzhi's prose is still very lacking, and the study of his prose can not be mentioned in the same breath of the novel. In the beginning of this century, Zhang Chengzhi's prose has reached maturity, the subjects of his proses also open up, and the art of his prose has achieved a high level. Therefore, to study Zhang Chengzhi's prose is necessary and important.Introduction: In this part,I introduce Zhang Chengzhi'S life, creativity and the study of his prose in recent years. In this paper, the main research methods is New Criticism read, analyze and summarize, comparison. The ultimate goal is to clarify the reservations and abandonment of traditional prose in Zhang Chengzhi's works, Shows that his creative change and summarizes the characteristics of his prose in each creation period. At the same time, this paper will show Zhang Chengzhi's prose style, summing up the success of his prose, and provide some reference to current prose writing.The first chapter is the theoretical part of this paper. First ,this paper introduces the concept of the prose, establishes the theoretical basis of prose. Secondly, this paper make the identification of Zhang Chengzhi. Finally, Zhang Chengzhi's creative prose will be divided into three phases, that is early-period, medium- period and maturity period.Chapter II is the main body of the paper. In this part, through the theme ideological tendencies and art features to analyse the specific characteristics of Zhang Chengzhi's prose in every periods. Through the analysis, we can understand that the subject of Zhang Chengzhi's prose in the early-period focus on creative thinking, the nation's memory, academic insight and perception, sentiment of mountains and rivers. His early ideas included in the spirit of philosophy, the spirit of mind and rational monologue. The prose of medium-term focus on the mentality and creative readme, the main thought of his articles is religious, anti-discrimination and firmness, the style of language is the depressed performance. Zhang Chengzhi late proses content ideological imprint and family memories, reflect the spirit of criticism and reflection.Chapter III is the farther part of Zhang Chengzhi's academic prose, musical prose and art. The academic prose is Zhang Chengzhi's academic. This article holds that the academic background of Zhang Chengzhi is resources of his prose creation. The musical proses are the articles when Zhang Chengzhi enjoy the music and express his views on this articles. Zhang Chengzhi's musical prose contains the essence of his ideas.His art focuse on line drawings and oil paintings. His drawings have some technical shortage ,but they express the thoughts of creativity.Conclusion part point out two defects in Zhang Chengzhi ideas,that is less life consciousness and magnanimity. At the same time, this article entirely confirm the contribution of Zhang Chengzhi. His prose is an important direction in the road of literature, and has great value and signification.
