In the 1940s, war was a key word in china. Therefore, the change of war situation certainly led to the transformation and changes in literature. War destructed the pre-war form of literature, but reconstructed a wartime form at the same time. Actually, literature was changing rapidly under the great influence of war. To be exactly, war regulated and restricted the production mechanism of literature and the political culture in wartime also influenced the form of literature. In such a war time full of gunpowder, The Literary Position came into being and had gone through the special time for 6 years. Undoubtedly, its development witnessed Chinese people's uncountable bloody wars against the invasion of Japanese imperialism. In Chinese literature circle of the 20th century, The Literary Position was indeed a literary miracle. This paper is a preliminary attempt to study it in a comprehensive way, which can be divided into the following four aspects.The first chapter, the gist of The Literary Position' study now. From the first paper of The Literary Position' study to nowadays, the author lead to study and around divided it into four stages. The chapter analyses every stage, and thinking study is getting better and better, but study's system is not good. The study of journal angle is weak.The second chapter, a brief description of the "life journey" of The Literary Position . In this part, the author intends to discuss the journal's three evolutionary stages respectively: creation, development and its end. In the first place, it analyses the causes of the journal's creation from a political and cultural perspective and describes the name, orientation and purpose of the journal in a practical and simple way. In the next place, on the basis of the frequency of the journal's publication, it divides the journal into three stages fortnightly stage and format according to the content of both main text and additional text. What's more, it analyses the cause resulting in the journal's going to end, discusses and then offers an answer with views to the change of politics and culture and the turnover of editors.The third chapter, explanation of the "ontological features" of The Literary Position .with reference to Mr. Zhu shoutong's theory of "the three ontologies", it states the interrelation between the journal and Chinese literature in the 1940s from 3 aspects: compositional ontology, criticizing ontology and academic ontology. The first one researches the relation with novels as its centre. The second one discusses it with realist literature being its core, while the third one probes into the "expanding realism" and comments on the criticism about journal.The fourth chapter, probe into the operation of The Literary Position from two layers-edition and publication. First, taking the study of editorial strategy as a start point, it analyses the journal's human editorial philosophy which was also keeping pace with the times and its editorial way of combing editing with compassing one by one. Second, it generalizes briefly the journal's publication strategy and points out the miraculous methods the journal applied to in publication during wartime.The fifth chapter, to begin with, as for the Anti-Japanese function, the journal has its historical contributions. By ways of praising heroes and criticizing traitors, the journal coordinated with the Anti-Japanese movement and banded many Anti-Japanese people together. This positive influence of the journal is just what this part tries to illustrate. Second, as for literature, including surrey of settle and self in "HG Mode", with an aim to learn something from literature.Epilogue, based on the research of The Literary Position, the author puts forward six dimensions of periodical study, namely, historical dimension, synchronic dimension, macro-dimension, micro-dimension, production dimension and effect dimension.
