Content 1 Introduction Liu Shu Gu Wei was an important philological book of the scholar Ye Dehui who lived in the late Qing dynasty and the early Republic of China.First of all, through the analysis of the research status, this chapter get the conclusion that the current academic circle of Ye Dehui only stay at his bibliographical achievements. But ignored the Ye Dehui's literal successes, especially the study of one of his books. This is the reason why I choose this subject.Secondly, it is the study of Ye Dehui' s experience of life and academic achievements.Althogh Ye Dehui's experience of life existed some considerable controversies, but standing in the academic level, we should give him an objective and impartial evaluation based on a comprehensive research .And again make a comprehensive study of Liu Shu Gu Wei from the aspect of version, the reasons of writing this book and etc.Ye Dehui was a famous scholars, book collectors in late Qing dynasty and early Minguo, and he writed a great number of writings and reached a high academic level.Because there were two Japanese students studied philology with him, and Ye Dehui combined with his current research, so he finally finished this book Liu Shu Gu Wei.Content II Liushu's study of Liu Shu Gu Wei This chapter mainly analyze Ye Dehui's "Liu Shu" conception, Which include two parts: the analysis and conclusion of Ye Dehui's "Liu Shu" conception and the order conception of "Liu Shu".Firstly, "Liushu" conception of Ye Dehui, in general, it is said that he make the innovation based on the view of Xu Shen.For example, Ye Dehui advocated that except for the pure indicative character, there were the indicative character similar to associative character, as well as the indicative character not only similar to associative character, but similar to pictographic character. In addition, the similarities and differences between indicative character and xiangshi also were mentioned.Ye Dehui divided words into six categories :pictographic character, pictographic, fonts, shape, object shape, body shape and physical things, And point out the connections and differences among the pictographic character,indicative character and associative character.Ye Dehui agreed with Xu Shen's explanation of pictographic characters, but did not stay here, he not only found out how pictographic characters come into being, the process of development, but also analyzed the relationship between the phonetic and pronunciation, as well as recognized the differences between pictographic characters and associative characterr and so on.Ye De hui also believed that "Bilei" and "Heyi" was two different ways to form an associative character.And realized the differences and similarities between associative character and Xiangyi.Ye Dehui proposed his own understanding to note on the basis of absorbing predecessors' achievements, he thought that the note was not equal to huxun and radicals.And divided note to five categories.Ye 's "Zhuanzhu conception" is with great referential significance to academic circle.Talking about loan character, Ye Dehui mainly refered to the loan character arise from extension of the acceptation, which derived from the succession to the views of Xu Shen.And classified loan character to positive and negative cases, that was the loan character of "had this word " and "had no this word".Secondly, it is the research on the order conception of "Liushu".Ye Dehui adopted the same order of explanation with Xu Shen about Liushu in Liu Shu Gu Wei.However, this did not mean that Ye Dehui totally agreed with Xu Shen's view, at the same time he also did not agree with Ban Gu's order.Ye Dehui advocated that " Liushu should originated from the self-explanatory characters."With regard to the the order of pictorgraphic characters and associative compounds, Ye Dehui believed that it should follow with Ban Gu's view not Xu Shen's.It emphases on that "Liushu" is a strict system.Content III the other explanation of Liu Shu Gu Wei This chapter is mainly divided into three parts.Firstly, it analyzes re-see words and the character examples which are with ministry but without category in Shuo Wen.There were some repeated words in Shuo Wen, some of them were separately in different ministries, while others were in the same one, but there was a situation where existed the character examples which is with ministry but without category.Ye Dehui sorted out and illustrated these two situations, his views had a certain value.Secondly, it is one by one research to Que characters of Shuo Wen Jie Zi, which is with ground-breaking meaning to the history of philology. Finally, it is the interpretation of individual words.
