The witch-like females in his writing not only have the unacceptable behaviors, but also suggests their valuable perspective of personality. Therefore, on the basis of inheriting the predecessors, Hemingway has transcended them to a certain extent. The following goes to address on the relationship between female images and religious notion from religious point of view. It positions females to a larger cultural space so that it deeply analyzes the connotation of the female image.Chapter three suggests the origin of Female cognitive. As a male writer, there unavoidably exists some kind of phallocentric culture notion and value orientation under the influence of phallocentric western culture. However, as a writer who lived in a replacement time context of new culture and old culture, and who concerned much about the age and human existence, Hemingway's works also transcended phallocentrism to some extent.
