Exchanges are basic human needs. The historical development of the exchanges appears in different forms at different times. The popularity of the Internet has brought the human being into a new era. In the Internet age, "human search", based on information and network technology and through the intermediary of signs, has become an important form of interaction. "Human search" has the completely new features that the traditional human society interaction does not have and has realized the great transformation in the history of exchanges. The thesis makes a tentative analysis of the causes and conditions, gains and losses, and ethical limits of the "human search", indicating it should follow the principles: (1) the balance between the public and the private interest; (2) privacy without being injured; (3) fairness and order; (4) a reasonable degree. The thesis also points out the way to the external monitoring and moral self-discipline of the "human research": law control, technology control, public opinion and self-discipline of Internet users. At present, though with some negative effects of modernity, we can not use historical nihilism in dealing with it. We believe that the network will not be the end of history, and civilization will not come to the end. The network is the coordinate of modern progress, and the rationality is the spiritual homeland of the network. We also firmly believe that the light of human reason and wisdom can not be sheltered, and are fully convinced that its "self-cleaning ability" will eventually be able to wash away all the sludge and filth in the hope of a harmonious and orderly space of the network exchanges.
