As a trend of thought in literature and art,neoclassicism exerted an important influence in Europe in the seventeenth and eighteenth century.There's philosophy basis and political factors for the neoclassic theory's burning.This text takes a run-through of the French neoclassic theory on literature,and then analyzes the core theory of neoclassic theory-rationalism and the three unities theory.This text adopts the ways of mutual proving of painting and history,combined with the iconography theories,and explains the influence put by the neoclassic theory on the painting and drama in French in the seventeenth and eighteenth century,in the aspects of themes,subjects, details and the creative methods.
