Zou Tao: A Neglected Modern Important Writers, | | Posted on:2010-08-28 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Q S Shi | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2205360275991736 | Subject:Chinese Modern and Contemporary Literature | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | This article focuses on Tao Zou,an early modern journalist,and try to illustrate the occupational and mental transformation of a traditional literati by a description of his life experience,especially the experience in his career in the press,as well as the interpretation of his representative works.In the meanwhile,the paper explore the detail and course of the changes in modern literature.Those changes were not only closely related with the changes in political and social context in pre-modern China, but also associated with Zou's creative attempts inspired by his own daily life and feeling.Therefore,it directly efforts to interpreting Zou's influence in terms of innovation via connecting his activities with his works.The dissertation is divided into four chapters:Chapter 1 A detailed biography of Zou compiled out of Zou's autobiography and his other supporting works.The biography starts from Zou's consistent failures at the civil service exam,then it goes on to tell the story of how Zou had to settle for local teaching to make ends meet till he left home for Shanghai to engage himself in press activities and his social networking,which gives a sketch of the early period of Zou's life.Chapter 2 interpretates jiao chou ji.It analysis the impact of liao zhai zhi yi in the writing thought and artistic practices on jiao chou ji,and the personal style and characteristics of times of jiao chou ji from the differences in narrative strategy between jiao chou ji and liao zhai zhi yi.Chaper 3 hai shang chen tian ying changed the backstreet fiction in the system of the latter Qing dynasty:introducing Western knowledge,but also shaping the image of modern intellectuals who spread of Western knowledge,which all related to the zou ' career experience of scientific periodical ge zhi yi wen hui bao.The fourth chapter deals with Zou tao from the traditional scholar to shanghai morden wet,character and spirit of occupational change.Modern Shanghai has provided a field for the change,and the differentiation of the modern professional change ensure it. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Writer in press, jiao chouji, hai shang chen tian ying, ge zhiyi wen hui bao, Career transition | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
