The Japan's comprehensive fifteen-year aggression has a far-reaching impact on Sino-Japanese relations. Meanwhile, the war has a profound impact on the development of Chinese modern history. After the end of the war, the remnants of war which has an important impact on the development of Sino-Japanese relations became an un-avoided problem of Sino-Japanese relations. In dealing with the remnants of war, not only the KMT government and the CPC, but also the mainland government after the founding of the Republic of China, have made different efforts. Chinese historians started to study the remnants of war in the mid-80s of 20th century. To the late 20th century, the study has begun to take shape. With the new problems, new materials and new results, the scholars have made a great progress in the study of the remnants of war. On the basis of the analysis and the inheritance of the previous studies, this article seeks to analyse the China's handling the remaining issues of the war. My study will focus on the period between the end of the war and before the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan (year 1945-1972)This text has three parts: The first part focuses on the early post-war KMT government on the issue of dealing with remnants of war (years1945-1949). Specific analysis of the early post-war KMT government's policy toward the surrender of Japan and the receipt, the repatriation of Japanese prisoners, the trial of traitors and war criminals, the survey statistics and the claims of the war loss. On the second part, the analysis will focus on the liberated regime's policy toward Japan and its surrender to the liberated areas and receiving, inventory loss of the liberated areas of the War. Part III focuses on the handling the remaining issues of the war before the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan. The Chinese government's policy toward Japan, and the war criminals, Japanese and the claims of the loss in the war.
