By far,most of the studies on the slavish education during Japanese occupation has focused on the enslaving education in puppet Manchuria regime and Wang Jingwei puppet regime. Recently,some scholars has made some achievements on the research of Taiwan,but they usually consider Taiwan area as a special case study of Janpanese agression and seldom combine it with the education of enslavement in the mainland.So the systematic study of the relation and difference between them is quite necessary.This thesis aims to study the enslaving education in Taiwan area as a part of Janpanese whole enslaving education in China.By making a contastive study of the education effect between Taiwan and the mainland,complete understanding of Japanese enslaving education effects was deepened.Japanese enslaving education in Taiwan area experienced two different periods,that is,"the period of assimilation" and " the Kominka period".In the former period,they mainly take the policy of" different education" and "Japanese popularization",which is the reflection of their conquering mentality and the unstability of their rule at the beginning.The aggressive nature of this policy aroused the strong resistance of Taiwan people,so its enslaving effect is quite unsatisfactory.After the July 7 Incident of 1937,Japanese colonialists were in an agent need of strengthening their rule in Taiwan area to play the important role of Taiwan in its war strategy. Therefore,they adjust their enslaving education policy in Taiwan and it came the "Kominka period" of Japanese enslaving education.During this period,the enslaving education were deepened in depth and widened in scope,so the colonial effect of enslaving education in the former period cannot be compared with that of this period.The enslaving education in puppet Manchuria regime can be divided into two stages before and after the new system.The previous stage is a "break" stage to berak the original education system in this area;the later stage is a "constructive" period to set up an enslaving education system,which adapted their puppet Manchukuo identity.The negative effects of these enslaving education were obvious in a certain period.However,comparing with that in Taiwan region,its colonial effect and influence were much smaller.Wang puppet region is a typical area for Japanese enslaving education in the occupied areas in China.The enslaving education in this area cannot be compared with the former two areas in the aspect of its contorl of the education system,its continuity and systematic character.As a result,its actual effect is very weak and has little follow-up influence.The differences in the three areas are caused by many factors.In general,the differences in geography,history and culture,the duration and degree of the control and variation in the resistance power are the main causes.
