Small Cities In The Elderly And Cultural Life Survey And Countermeasures

China is one of the developing countries which early entry into Old Age Society. Since the 21st century, the trend of the aging of population is accelerating. In 2007, the proportion of China aging population over the age of 60 rose to 11.6%. How to achieve "active aging" in the context of a harmonious society become a challenge. In the field of Geriatric Sociology, the study of old-age pension in urban and rural areas became mature; however, the study of cultural life of the elderly is not enough. On the base of gradual increase in economy, the need of Spiritual Culture increasingly vibrant. The need of Spiritual Culture of aging population became a new problem brought about by the aging of population. This article selects a small city in Central China to investigate and study. Through questionnaires, interviews, literature research and field research methods, this article analyzes the current status of small city's aging population's cultural life and their impact factors. This article tries to find a way of think and solution to the current plight of the aging population's cultural life.This article consists of five parts. Among them, III, IV and V are the main body of this article. Chapters I and II talks about the significance of this topic, related concepts and literature review.Chapter III is on the status of urban aging population's cultural life in our country. In this section, we mainly used the five times general survey data and consecutive years of monitoring data of the aging population. On the base of these date, this article describe and analysis the aging population of our city and its cultural life of the past, present and future trends comprehensively and in depth.Chapter IV conduct a descriptive analysis of cultural life of S county's aging population through the questionnaire and interview data, including the basic status of the population, cultural life status of the aging population etc;Chapter IV of the questionnaire and interview data analysis of the cultural life of the elderly S County to conduct a descriptive analysis of the status quo, including the basic status of the population, the elderly, such as the cultural life of the status quo; Under the method of statistical inference the last section analyze the relativity of the eight factors which impact of the cultural life of the aging population (chi-square test), and falsify the hypothesis put forward.The Chapter V Sum up the problems of cultural life of aging population in small cities in China. At the last section, this article makes policy recommendations in four aspects: family, community, social and government.
