Buddhism always uses sea stories to promote its theory.In these stories there is a Luocha story which appears the most frequently in Buddhist canons.It was familiar by people in many periods of Chinese history.There are sea stories in Classical Chinese Literature either.They are about legends in the strange sea outside the formal world.However,from Tang to Qing,these sea stories appeared very differently from the Buddish stories while they came from them.Because of the business development outside the sea and the local imagination of the sea,sea story of Buddhist cannons were accepted by people in Classical China gradually.But the image of ghost,which was an important element in Buddhist sea stories,was changed.And that is this change made the different faces of local stories from the Buddhist stories.
