The world is gradually stepping into "An information age" since the 1990s, as a result of the speed of change is hotting up, the amount of information is increasing and the explosion of the knowledge, we begin to face more and more information to choose. Accelerated pace of life means that we need communicating the information more effectively and rapidly, so that we can select and use them, therefore information design came into being. Information design is a relatively broad concept, this article is to discuss within the framework of visual communication design. Information design is the most closest subject related to the infographics design, in a sense, information design is a larger concept, and infographics design is attached to it.Emotion is an important part in humane life, it affects how a person is perceived, how to think about and how to act. The thought of emotional design is given attention and acceptance by more and more people with the influence of the design in non-material and the experience in economic philosophy, and in practice it has developed into a new trend in design. In this paper, it talks about the development of the infographics design, the insight about emotion and cognition, the relationship between the information and the emotion. The well-known cognitive psychologist Donald A. Norma divided the design and the target of design into three levels in the book Emotional Design: visceral layer, behavior layer, reflective layer. Learning from his theory to analyze the infographics design, we can conclude three objectives of the infographics design: forms of beauty, information display, emotional demands. The rapid development of media has affected the presentation of the infographics design, designers is gradually throwing off chains of print media and beginning to explore other methods about information visualization, including the use of 3D and 4D technology, interactive technologies, as well as modifications with the use of sound technology. So in addition to the traditional static infographics design, two new forms about dynamic infographics and interactive infographics came up. Moreover this paper carries out through a variety of elements in infographics design such as graphics, words, colors, space performance, multi-sensory channel experience, performance in terms of metaphor and so on to list a large number of outstanding cases to analyse how these elements present the innermost feeling of the people.
