| In this paper, combined with the production of my graduate project "Tale of goddess of River Luo", I would like to elaborate the own characteristics of animation and traditional Chinese culture and common between these two. In modern society, animation, especially the two-dimensional animation as a unique art form, can be a good performance and carry forward the Chinese traditional culture and the arts.By introducing the concept of animation, character, performance, and spirit, style characteristics and historical development of traditional culture and art, animation has an integral relationship with the traditional culture and national art in Chinese history. And the myth of China's traditional culture, Chinese opera, Chinese painting and so are the inexhaustible treasure-house. There are many things in common in two-dimensional animation, traditional Chinese culture, and traditional arts. Animation is a product of modern science and technology and new art form; traditional culture and art is a long, extensive and profound. However, by this way of modern artistic expression, it can reflect the essence of traditional culture and the charm of art and offer it with a new vision. It meets the requirements of the times and promotes the development of traditional arts.In the production of process of my graduate project" Tale of goddess of River Luo", the art and technique in process of animation coordinate to develop their own characteristics and reflect the traditional artistic style and literature of the original story. At the same time it meets the needs of animation technology. These experiences are summed up as below:Form Design: should focus on referencing and refining "lines" and "shape" which is the elements in traditional culture,and grasp the key spirit of traditional culture to give the works a unique artistic personality. The characteristics of Line of the figures follows of the original style of "Drawing of Tale of goddess of River Luo", based on this patterns, I made some modern modifications to the form, add more perspectives, dynamics, and expression changes in the image of the design to meet the requirement of the production of animation film. Dynamic Design: based on poem " Tale of goddess of River Luo " from Cao Zhi and painting " Tale of goddess of River Luo " from Gu Kaizhi in Eastern Jin Dynasty, adding exaggeration and imagination to the static screen and great literary works depict, creative a series of action changes which meet the needs of the identity of the character. Also it is the extension of the painting works.Lens image: the lens of language to enhance performance, composition plane in Chinese painting, based on a lively performance as much as possible, the proper use of changing camera angles and distance reflect the plot and the character of psychological changes.Music making: "Haotian drum" from Dou Wei, the voice of friction strings made us feel the quaint charm of occasional, electric piano sounds with a touch of modern music and the gloomy wet, added at the end of drum music, fragmentary step march-like rhythm, bring the climax of a plot to arrest. In the scattered rhythm, people can feel the deep sense of Chinese classical mood, reflecting the style and the changes of the plot. |
