| In the trend of globalization, a brand new method of communication—communication of cartoon is entering the information world of the and becomes the potential power of communication. Communication of cartoon is essentially a communication of culture, which is crucial to the construction of national image.The country's cultural strength and the relative communicaion strategy largely determine the construction of the national image. The cartoon culture is serving the national image construction project as the mainstream in the global trend of cultural communication and integration. At present, China is attaching great importance to the diplomatic influence and economic influence of national culture. Based on the current situation of Chinese cartoon industry and guided by the cross-cultural communication theory, this essay mainly study the communication procedure of Japanese cartoon in mainland China and its effect on the national image construction. This study probes into positive and negative impact of Japanese cartoon to China through the periodical research and the research of consumption fact on the domestic market, and analynize the change of Chinese cartoon fans' antitude through questionare survey. Furthermore, the paper sums up the whole aspects of Japan's national image construction work in China and research both the positive and negative impact on China. At last, it puts forward the critical thoughts and policies for the development of cartoon with Chinese characteristics on the study of the two countries' historical experiences and key points.The main part of the essay includes four parts.The first part initially researches the current situation of Chinese cartoon industry in the new environment and makes a comparison between the Chinese and Japanese cartoon to base for the latter research of development of Chinese cartoon.The second part researches the communication of Japanese cartoon to Chinese audiences through the method of periodical research to summerize the change in its culture and Chinese audiences' reception, besides it applies the method of questionare survey to deeply study and summarize its influnce.The third part studies several selected popular cartoon works for the cultural elements and the limitation of the Japanese cartoon, including the negative factors and not-good developing trend.The fourth part bases on the construction of Chinese cartoon culture and makes use of the Japan's experiences in its national image construction to propose the reflections and policies for domestic cartoon perfection and its use on national image construction. |
