Xi'an Cultural Industry Competitiveness Study

With the deepen reform of cultural system, and the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the idea of "hasten the culture progress of socialism", the Government of Shaanxi Province also put the aim of construct Shaanxi Province to a strong culture province in the west parts of China into the most important position. As the provincial capital of Shaanxi Province, Xi'an has many advantages in develop culture industry. Although Xi'an already get some achievement in culture industry, but there are also some disadvantages. So, how to promote the culture industry in Xi'an is important and urgent to come up with.This paper was based on the theories of industry competitiveness and cultural industry, using large amounts of data to analysis the competitiveness of Xi'an cultural industry in five factors. Then, we got the evaluation of each factors, and give the suggestion about how to develop Xi'an cultural industry.This paper is divided into 6 chapters to elaborate the culture industrial competitiveness in Xi'an. Chapter one introduces the research background and significance, research status and research methods of this paper. Chapter one elaborates on concepts and theories relevant to culture industry. Chapter three bases on the "diamond model", analyzed the influencing factors of culture industrial competitiveness. Chapter four throws light on the present development of culture industry in Xi'an including the general analysis also the advantages and disadvantages of it. Chapter five given an empirical analysis of culture industrial competitiveness in Xi'an, compared with the other 7 culture strong city in China. The author constructs an evaluation index system and got a result of culture industrial competitiveness in Xi'an. Chapter six comes up with new strategies for the development of culture industry in Xi'an in terms of the real circumstance of culture industry in Xi'an.
