The melody of the legend of a wooden carving was revised according to the original music and the material of Mogolion folksongs.The composer expresses the original music and the folksong in the form of opera and represents Mogolion customs and feelings by using such techniques as aria and recitative in western opera. It mainly studies how the same music material can be used in different situations skillfully and perform different musical mood, It also studies how to use different folk song materials to portray different musical images, especially the sharp contrast of figures' characters caused by the variation of tune features. The study concerns various composing skills, for example, harmony, musical instrument, compound tune, tune types and Zhi Ti.
