Internet Addiction Disorder, Conflict Control Erp Study

The growing body of research in the area of addiction suggests that Internet Addiction Disorder,a psychophysiological disorder involving tolerance;withdrawal symptoms;affective disturbances;and interruption of social relationships,is a presenting problem that is becoming more common in society as on-line usage increases by the day.Internet addiction disorder can bring many mental illness,such as emotional disorder,family conflict,social adjustment,even criminal behavior and so on.Among these,emotional diaorder is an more important problem caused by internet addiction.The research suggested that many emotional problems accompanied with internet addiction disorder,for example depression,anxiety,emotional inhospitality.Emotional system is an very important mental processing system for individuals and organizer of other mental activities.Different emotional reactivity and emotional-regulation,can change adaptive means of individual.An fault and default emotional-regulation can lead to poor adaptation.Therefore,through neuroscience method,based on the theory of internet addiction disorder and emotional-regulation for individual adaptation,the current study aimed at exploring the differences in emotional-regulation between the adolescence with internet addiction disorder and the normal people.We use the method of event-related potentials(ERPs) and performance correlates of inhibition of reaponses to Go/Nogo stimuli were investigated in 28 adolescences(14IAD,14normal).The analysis suggested that both group have the similar response time and error rate of go/nogo task.ERP data shows IAD have significantly earlier latency in N2go and N2nogo than normal;IAD also have significantly stronger P3go and P3nogo than normal.The different wave shows that there are no significantly differences in N2/P3's peaks and latency between two groups.In sum,IAD have the same ability in conflict control.
