Modern developmental and educational psychologists pay more attention to the impact of adolescents’ subjective initiative on their development and the interaction between personal and contexts. Intentional self-regulation are series process or actions that are aimed to self-development, which actively adjusted the personal goal based on the contextual resources and demands of environment. Intentional self-regulation abilities play a critical role in selecting behaviors that serve long-term goal, and adjusting or compensation in the face of obstacles in order to stay on track. In this study,384senior middle school students were investigated with Questionnaires to explore the relationship of intentional self-regulation, self-control, cognitive emotional regulation strategies. The results show as the following:1. Senior middle school students are inclined to use compensation of intentional self-regulation, and compensation also showed significant difference in ages, specifically, ages in17,18higher than15in compensation.2. Senior middle school students are inclined to use positive cognitive emotional regulation strategies, and positive reappraisal, positive refocusing, acceptance got higher scores, but self-blame and other-blame got lower scores. And self-blame showed significant different in gender, which girls got higher score than boys.3. Senior middle school students are inclined to use simple tasks. Impulsivity and risk-seeking showed significant difference in ages, which ages in15higher than ages in17.4. Intentional self-regulation positively correlated with positive cognitive emotional regulation strategies, and intentional self-regulation negatively correlated with self-control and negative cognitive emotional regulation strategies.5. The path among positive cognitive emotional regulation strategies, self-control, intentional self-regulation, self-control mediated the relationship between positive cognitive emotional regulation strategies and intentional self-regulation.And, impulsivity, simple tasks, risk-seeking all mediated the relationship between positive cognitive emotional regulation strategies and intentional self-regulation.6. The path among negative cognitive emotional regulation strategies, self-control, intentional self-regulation, self-control mediated the relationship between negative cognitive emotional regulation strategies and intentional self-regulation. And, impulsivity, simple tasks, risk-seeking all mediated the relationship between negative cognitive emotional regulation strategies and intentional self-regulation.
