This article tried to clear up the generation process of divided-paragraph movies, and found that with abundant works, a systemic theory about it was absent, then this article chose some of typical movies of this type to analyze in order to sum up general characteristics.The first chapter is about the basic characteristics of divided-paragraph movies. It cuts off the primary logical relations and takes a multi-direction narrative mode; breaks off traditional movies into fragments and takes diversiform principle parts to attain a narrative onrush.The second chapter analyzes the theory origins. The deconstrunction, the duologue theory and the modern drama theory all contribute to the divided-paragraph movies.The third chapter makes efforts on the academic and practical value of divided-paragraph movies. It topples down the traditional metaphysics and dualism, and the same time, it tries to rebuild human's existence. Otherwise, the divided-paragraph movies animadvert on the society's reality.The last chapter concentrates on the divided-paragraph movies' puzzles: one is that the divided-paragraph movies make excess use of techniques; the other is the divided-paragraph movie is prone to plunge into another power centre. Specially, the article discusses the actual circs and the future ways of Chinese divided-paragraph movies.The divided-paragraph movie is a great creation of film art, and also provides an opportunity to illumine people to think about again the existence of human beings. Though the divided-paragraph movies have some hidden troubles, it still remains an active art practice.
