Emperor Hanwu is one of the excellent emperors in ancient China.He not merely set up the flourishing age of the Western Han Dynasty by his political and military talents,but had his unique achievements and contributions in the field of literature.It is found that Emperor Hanwu wrote poems,odes and imperial edicts.However,people pay more attention to the political achievements of Emperor Hanwu for a long time,and pay less attention to his identity as the first literatus emperor in ancient China,and lack of in-depth and systematic discussion on his masterpieces.This paper uses the method of literature analysis to analyze and study the literature of Emperor Hanwu,and discusses the contribution of Emperor Hanwu to Han music verses and Han Fu.This paper is divided into five parts:The first one is the introduction.It combs and analyzes the research results of emperor Hanwu’s poems,odes,imperial edicts and his contribution to literature.The research significance and research methods of this paper are expounded.The second section is to describe the era and works of Emperor Hanwu.It summarizes the era background of Emperor Hanwu.This paper introduces the works of Emperor Hanwu and the collection of his works,and investigate the doubtful articles in his poems.The third part is the study of Hanwu’s poetry and his contribution to the Han music verses.It mainly sorts out the development of poetry before Emperor Hanwu.This paper analyzes the creation background,ideological content and artistic value of Hanwu’s poetry,and discusses his outstanding contribution to the Han music verses.The fourth section is the study of Ode to Lady Li and the contribution of Emperor Hanwu to the development of Han Fu.The main content is an overview of the development of odes before Emperor Hanwu in the Western Han Dynasty and a clear definition of the development and evolution of odes literature.The content and artistic value of Ode to Lady Li by Emperor Hanwu are mainly analyzed.This paper illustrates the contribution of Emperor Hanwu to the prosperity and development of Han Fu from the aspects of emperor Hanwu’s love for odes,soliciting scholars and encouraging odes.The fifth part is the study of imperial edicts written by Emperor Hanwu.Starting with the text analysis,this paper summarizes the contents of imperial edicts by Emperor Hanwu,and analyzes the thoughts of "Heaven-human induction" and "rule by virtue" reflected in the imperial edicts.This paper discusses the literary features of imperial edicts written by Emperor Hanwu from language,style and emotion.It is an important transition from ancient Chinese literature to Emperor Hanwu,and the important person who opened the transition is undoubtedly Emperor Hanwu.Therefore,to study the literary creation and literary contribution of Emperor Hanwu is helpful to comprehensively understand his achievements and contributions in the field of literature,and expand the research vision and space of imperial literature and literature of the Han Dynasty.
