The myth, as a cultural form of early human civilization development, is the first soil that born the spirit of national culture, in a sense, the myth as the evidence for human creativity, which exerts an important influence to the successive generations of the evolution of literature and art.Therefore, that to explore the characteristics of the myth tragedy has important value and Significance for studying the national tragedy spint.This paper started with the origin of tragedy, by analying the contradiction existed between transcendence and limitation of human beings, summed up that the Tragic Consciousness was produced from the awareness of the infinite resistance and destruction for finity of human beings.Then, this conclusion is applied to the ancient Chinese myth.First of all, it demonstrated the existence inevitability of Tragic Consciousness of the ancient Chinese myth; then, by analying the myth story 'The bird Jingwei trying to fill the sea', 'Kuaifu hunting for the sun' and etc, summed up the characteristics of the ancient Chinese myth tragedy, namely, closely related with the lofty spirit; life is often deformed in the end; dominated by the outside conflict; the hero usually is initiative to challenge. Finally it analyzed the Tragic Consciousness of the ancient Chinese myth in the entire national spirit, to conclusion that in thousands of year development, because of the natural environment, social environment, as well as the development of thinking of human beings, the Tragic Consciousness in the ancient myth has changed, too. Spirit turned into heroism; deformation of life turned into happy ending; from the outside conflict to inside; the initiative fighting turned to passive bear. It is important value for us a better realization of national cultural Psychology and construction of national tragic literature to study the Chinese ancient myth tragedy.
