The Image Of Women In The New Era Of Korean Novel Study

In the 1980s—1990s, the novel creation of the Korean nationality in China has made great progress in themes, artistic styles and characterizations. Among them, the feminine characterizations are especially remarkable. The vivid and colorful female images not only brought the novel creation of the Korean nationality to brilliance, but also made its ideas more profound.Vast numbers of Korean writers obtain liberation from the left thought imprisonment since 1980s. But because of the influence of the masculine center ideological mode which has carried on for centuries, there has always been the trace of the male power idea in the characterizations of the feminine images. From the beginning of the 1980s, although they has made great efforts to the female promote, there has still been error. The writers are keen on portraying the images of "Holy Women", especially the images of "good wife and loving mother". In the mid-80s, with the gradual rising of the Korean women writers, they no longer agree with the male power emotion in the texts, and they gain their own position in the Korean literary arena with their diligence.Since the 1990s, there has profound influence in the Korean National society with the reform and open policies and the international changes. At this moment, the writers widen their horizons of the creations, improve their creation standard and the ideological recognition to more degree.They do not rigidly adhere to describing characters' vicissitudes of life, but paying attention to feminine survival condition by a wider vision. However, the complex changes of the social environment causes the reality more solemn. So the females in the novel are confused when they step into the society and their different destinations cause peoples' vigilance. At the same time, the writers explain the outlets of female liberation. At the very moment, the female writers play an important role in the enriching its connotation.The feminine characterizations of Korean novels in the New Times has made encouraging achievement in moral and characters. Especially when displaying the Korean National female industrious, virtuous, endures humiliation and so on moral characters, the writers gain better artistic effects in the typical environment of the national characteristics. But because of the females' weakness and the male power, there has still the keynote of "the tragedy" in the partial feminine images. The Korean novels in the new times also has the insufficiency in the feminine images' mold. As a result of the writers' lopsided views on life and many other reasons, feminine images in the novels are not very plentiful and exists some shortcomings, for instance, the typological tendency, lack of the content about the harmony of men and women in the feminine images.Main content of this thesis: chapter one is variations of times and rouse of Korea ethnic female consciousness. Chapter two is the female figure of Korea novel in new time. Chapter three is thinking of the female figure of Korea novel in new time. In this thesis, it have classified and summarized basic types of the female figure of Korea novelette and story, system explained the developed female figure and multiply changes which have not mentioned and deficiency in past research. It is new invention and creating point. These, researching Korea ethnic female literature, it have important significance in farther communication from Korea ethnic literature, nationalities literature and main literature.
