Han Thai Quantifiers Research And Thai Quantifiers Teaching

In Chinese Mandarin and Thai language,there are a large amount of classifiers, but the usage of these words are quite different. This thesis aims to study the usage of classifiers in both languages by comparing with each other. The comparison includes both the gramatical funtions and the meanings of the classifiers,and has classified the classifiers in both languages according to the functions of the words in order to compare the usage of each category of classifiers. Through the comparative study, the thesis has also pointed out the reasons that leads to the difference of classifiers occurred in the two languages.Moreover,the thesis aims to put the result of the research into the teaching process of thai language in China by pointing out the difficult points in teaching thai classifiers to Chinese students and has put forward some appropriate methods of teaching Thai classfiers to Chineses learners.
