| The present paper sets out to study the regional houses, most of which are Khamstshan, in Tibetan monasteries before 1959. With the help of surveys and papers, the present author analysis the originality of Khamstshan and make the combination and distribution of Khamstshan clear on the basic of current studies. The present paper also digs into the sources of monk, which are considered to be the cause of regional houses. Bsanblo Khamstshan of Drepung monastery is a specific example and a microcosmic object of this study; its political, economic and cultural functions are expounded in this paper. |
