Jane Kwong Yi Bamboo Flute Art Research

Jan Guangyi, who is an outstanding concert performer, makes prominent contributions to and profound influences on the development of bamboo flute performance in the 20th century. In order to study his bamboo flute performance art comprehensively and systematically, this paper will launch the research from three aspects, namely, the research of Jan Guangyi's works, the style research of Jan Guangyi's bamboo flute performing arts, the research of Jan Guangyi's teaching thoughts and methods. Through the research of these three aspects, Mr. Jan Guangyi'influence and contribution in the field of national instrumental music will be summarized in this paper in an all round way. By analyzing his artistic style, this paper will provide for the general bamboo flute performers with experience in artistic creation, performance and teaching from predecessors. Furthermore, the general bamboo flute performers can also base on the experience to seek the artistic creation rules of bamboo flute works, the scientific teaching methods and to form their own artistic styles.
