By means of questionnaire and individual interview,this search takes 479 junior school students as the subjects.The study analysises the whole situations of the junior school students' self-concept development and the relationships within self-concept and different peer relationship.The results show as follows:1,The self-concept of junior school students is on the whole in high level.The percentage of students whose self-concept level is in lower,in normal and in higher is one by one 21.5%,36.5%,42%;the percentage of in normal and higher level self-concept students is 78.5%.It comes to a conclusion that the most junior school students' self-concept are in a little higher level,and only a few are in lower level.2,There is no significant difference between genders on self-concept;It has nothing with grade on the whole,however,there is significant difference between students of grade two and grade three. The development tendency is unsteady.The scores of grade two students' self-concept development level are the highest,and grade three students' are the lowest;that is the tendency is upwards from grade one to grade two,and then downwards from grade two to grade three.3,There is significant difference between students on self-concept in different schools;The scores of students in key schools are significantly higher than those in normal schools.4,There is significant difference on self-concept between students come from the city and from the country.The scores of students from the city are significantly higher than those from the country.5,There is significant difference on self-concept between only-child children and non-only-child children.The scores of only-child children are significantly higher than those of non-only-child children.6,There are correlationships between self-concept and types of peer relationship.On the whole, the students' self-concept is positive related to welcomed and neglected,and negative related to refused.The welcomed students and neglected students are positive related to not only the whole questionnaire but also to each part,while the refused students are negative related to them,and the controversial students and normal students are not significantly related to them.
