Wordless,composed of 800,000 words and three books,is a rarely seen works composed by Zhang Jie,into which who has devoted twelve years of her feelings.As a works devoted to the life and marriage of women of several generations,Wordless can be defined as "an epic of a century"(according to Sui Lijun).Wordless is a milestone no matter in her life or in her composition.Through intertextual interpretation of Zhang Jie's prose,informal essays and novels including Wordless,the present paper adopted the research method of genesis to show the sudden change of her value,aesthetic style,and image of man in her literary creation.On the other hand,the paper is intended to adopt the view of genesis to interpret the underlying spiritual genes of Zang Jie that enhance the literary creation of the characters in spirit respect in Wordless. This will help to probe into the process of her creation and overthrow of the male spiritual mirror image.This paper will probe into the fundamental cause of the variation of human personality(esp.male personality) from many respects such as society,history,time,traditional culture,politics and the author's personal factors.Introduction part firstly introduced the overall condition of the author's literary creation, mainly researches on Wordless,then explains the research method employed and creative points of the present paper.Body part spreaded out exposition in four parts.Part One mainly discussed the literary creation of male spiritual mirror image in Zhang Jie's early literary works.Through infatuation of creating male spiritual image in her literary works,the paper try to probe into the underlying human nature motive.The paper also tried to present the potential problems therein underlying.Part two discussed the deconstruction and overthrow of male spiritual image.The paper firstly discussed the male images in her novel The Ark and Grandma's Green,in which Zhang Jie began to doubt about and reflect on the male spiritual images,she herself began to transform spriritualy.Then the paper traced the collapse of the male spiritual images in Wordless and furtherly discussed the separation of soul from flesh in Zhang Jie's literary creation.In addition,the paper recollected the injuries that the heroine Wu Wei suffered from in her early girlhood to analyse the causes of her "problem personality",on the basis of which the paper present the course through which the author dedconstruct and overthrow the male spiritual image.In conclusion,this part mainly discussed Zhang Jie's criticism against "Phallus Centrism". By means of close reading and intertextual reading of her prose and informal essay with Wordless,from the angle of genesis,this part analysed the great disparity in the character and value of Wu Wei and Hu Bingchen(or Zhang Jie and Sun Youyu),which at last led to their marriag tragedy.Then from various factors of history and society,turbulent period,tradition of male power and political agenda,part three examined the causes of the twist and change to different degree in the character of Hu Bingchen and other males so that to reveal the truth of the collapse of male spiritual image,and accordingly the fundamental cause of the shift in Zhang Jie's literary creation will be revealed.Part four discussed the real intention of Wordless and her limitations.The paper tried to objectively point out Zhang Jie's extremist ideas and limitations resulted from the close relationship between she and the heroine.The paper tried to examine Zhang Jie's real intention of her literary creation from multidimensions such as society,history, politics,traditional culture,gender and human nature.The paper leave a little space for Zhang Jie's efforts in the reconstruction of ideal male image after Wordless.To sum up,through intetextual reading of Zhang Jie's prose and informal essay with Wordless,the paper employed the research method of genesis to understand Zhang Jie's inward world and hidden psychological pulse(i.e,to reveal from the point of view of psychology of contradiction in her sense and sensibility,a more accurate understanding of her soul can be attained.),excavate her profound spiritual world,interpret the cause of the shift in her literary creation,so that to restore the original spiritual world of Zhang Jie.In fact,no matter being indulged in poetic love or being obsessed with desperation and daftness,Zhang Jie insistenly goes after ideal human nature and perfect human personality from start to finish.Exploration into the spirit and human life is no easy but significant,but it may provide some hints for the research of harmonious gender relationship in the present construction of a harmonious society.
