State and social theory is a vast open theoretical concept, and the state, society and their entity are complicated. It is the first problem to solve how to choose suitable study objects with entities form, when you use state and social theory as your research framework. Opera have typical feature of civil society, which come from civil society originally. After new China is founded, local troupes have the two-sided characteristics of state and of civil society. Local troupes with characteristics of the civil society have been influenced by State power deeply. Therefore, I select local troupes to study, which is in Wuwei County of Anhui Province, exploring 60 years historical evolution of state and society after the new China was founded.New China's power construction is divided into four periods in the paper, firstly, state power sinking period (1949 -1964); Secondly, the comprehensive national power controlling period (1964 - 1976); Thirdly, the state power loosing Period (1976 - 1998); fourthly, the state power retracting period (1998-present).Using state and social theory, I will descript and analyze the relationship and evolution of state and society from three dimensions , which is state power, the state ideology and traditional culture, inquiring fight of state ideology and traditional culture. In this paper I draw the following conclusions for further study:1 After the founding of China, the state power tentacles extended to every aspect of society, and capped the climax during the Cultural Revolution. But before the reform and opening up, the country did not succeed in achieving the goal, which is a coincidence of "the political center, the ideological center, the economic center ". The state did not succeed in coverage society Completely, and society had the strategic behavior to satisfy it's own needs, running its original logic. There are huge tensions between national policies and its agencies, between the different country organizations. The tensions give full expression to mixing and inosculation of the state and social forces. Grass-roots administrative staff select to implement some national policies, which consistent with the way of traditional culture's thinking. Under these circumstances, state power imprint social culture's characteristics, and state policy abate its influence on society.2 After the reform and opening up, the loosening and retracting of state power is not unilateral action on it's own initiative, It is the outcome of people interplaying with the state, such as policy-digging, policy breakthrough and the policy creation.3. The state ideology with the backing of state power squeeze from the space of traditional cultural, but couldn't replace the traditional culture, just having changed the way of existence of traditional culture ,from the scene on into the scene down. When the state power withdrew, the traditional Cultural recovered and took the initiative to requisition the mainstream of national discourse for its own legitimacy. Traditional culture and state ideology show a kinds of new content with double features of state ideology and of traditional culture through the way of mixing and inosculation.
