Victor Pelevin is most concerned about in Russia nowadays. He has gotten remarkable achievements in Russian Postmodernism literature. His postmodernism works are rich. A series of novels have been published in succession and have received various awards. There are a lot of characteristics of creation in Pelevin's postmodernism works. The present paper, from the perspectives of the creation theme and the creation form in Pelevin's post-modernism works, expatiates dissimilation theme and the form of language game, which are prominent in his postmodernism works. Besides, the paper explores Pelevin, making use of comparison method.The part of preface has summarized present studies on Pelevin, and pointed out the reasons, perspectives, methods and meaning for the study. Chapter one expatiates the birth, development, and basic characteristics of Russian post-modernism thoughts in order to understand the background of the times of Pelevin's post-modernism creation. Then it summarizes the characteristics of creation in Pelevin's postmodernism works. Chapter two expatiates prominent creation theme in Pelevin's postmodernism works—dissimilation, then narrates the deformation of people, the dissimilation of Russian intellectuals and other various dissimilation phenomena in Russian society. Chapter three expatiates prominent creation form in Pelevin's postmodernism works—language game, that is the popular language, parody language and language symbol collage with multiple meanings. Chapter four compares Pelevin's the Life of Insects and Kafka's Metamorphosis, analyzes the similarities and differences of the two novels in postmodernism creation theme and creation methods and the reasons for them in order to explore how Pelevin absorbs and develops western postmodernism. Then it compares Pelevin with Russian literary tradition in order to explore the links between Pelevin and Russian literary tradition. In the end, writer sums up the paper.
