It has been thirty years since Chinese contemporary photography began to develop in 1976. During the period Chinese contemporary photography has undergone an extensive reform, particularly for documentary photography. A large number of outstanding photographers and productions emerge, which have attracted the domestic and foreign photographic domain.Documentary photography's idea may understand for documentary photography essence and the significance value judgment, it is the unification of creation view and real view. The photographers' status has had the unceasing change with the development of documentary photography and with understanding which of authenticity and value of documentary photography, people' recognize with documentary photography also in unceasingly thorough.
