Development of the society promotes the emergence of the contemporary Chinese new words. Since the 1980s,the Chinese language academics have shown great enthusiasms to contemporary Chinese new words and have discussed the new Chinese words variously. Many achievements have obtained. However,there are still lots of aspects need further discussing,So that the further research of the contemporary Chinese new words will become a popular topic over a long period of time.The thesis will base the discussion of the characteristics and the cultural content on the analysis of the meaning of the contemporary Chinese new words and the research status quo. By doing this,we can have a full view of the contemporary Chinese new words which after the reform and opening-up in order to realize the linguistics value,the culture value and the sociology value of the contemporary Chinese new words more deeply. The cultural content of the contemporary Chinese new words include: 1.They reveal the improvement of standard of corporeal living and the development of the modern technology. And they also reveal the characteristics of the net period.2.They reveal the new old economic and political system switcher time and the social conflict. 3.They reveal people's desiring for profit,simplification,fashion and foreign culture.
