Though Fang Fang is considered as a representative of"newly-realism"in the history of Chinese contemporary literature, this term can hardly conclude all the characteristics of her writings. The author considers that the humanism is the very clue of all her writings. So this paper will make a deep investigation on Fang Fang's literature creations from the perspective of humanism. The first part of this article will focus on the value of humanism and its development in Fang Fang's novels, proposing that Fang Fang followed our Chinese intellectuals'traditional values of humanism, centering on human, focusing on and criticizing the ordinary people's life, concerning on the value, dignity and freedom of those people. Also she took a close look at the distortion of human nature in the puzzled situations. However, in her recent novels, such as Out-door for Death, she changed her position from an intellectual to an ordinary people, and became tolerant and endured to the real life instead of previous fierce criticism and exposition. Such recognitions and give-ups to the daily life and the current order of society, not only confused her previous bright belief on humanism, but also weakened the rational spirit, suspiciousness and criticism, demonstrating a backward of her humanism value. In the second part, with the help of Marslow's Theory of Demanding, the author analyzes the level of pursuits of humanism values from three aspects ---- human nature, living conditions of females and the hard situations of realizing life ideals of intellectuals. Because of the deficiency of materials, the basic survival can not meet its satisfaction. The dignity, kinship and human nature was challenged and damaged. While pursing true love and her destination, the females would face many difficulties. Due to the limits of time and environment, the three generations of intellectuals lost their hopes of realizing the life ideals. Fang Fang sympathized to the individuals suffering in the troubles, and with the hope of raising some cures, she drew the attentions of the readers to the hardships. She demonstrated her humanism value by the means of hoping the human beings would strive for the truth, kindness and beauty. In the third part of the present paper, the author explores the three construction modes of humanism values. The modes of"close-remoteness"and"alive-dead"showed us the changes of human nature and relations in a family. The modes"hopefulness-disappointment"and"ideal-reality"explored the brutality of reality and its hardship for human beings'survival, while the"accidental- reversal"and"family- fatalism"demonstrated the unpredictability of fatalism and helplessness of human beings. By these three constructions of modes, Fang Fang investigated the truth of life, and explored the general meaning of human life, which showed us her thinking of real human life as well as her care and consideration of humanism.
