Preliminary Study On Ningqiang County In Shaanxi Folk Songs

Ningqiang county whose neighbor is Sichuan and Gansu etc. lies on the southeast of Shanxi Province. The county is covered by flourishing forest with rivers and mountains interleaving regularly here and there. People here miss their sweet heart, narrate the history and describe the scene of the county by songs. Everyday life, psychology and spirit of Ningqian can be found in their ballads inherited orally.Presently, Ningqiang ballads are studied as part of Shanxi, Shannan and Hanzhong's ballads while case study of Ningqiang's ballads are rare. It is urgent to anatomize the background of Ningqiang ballad, analyze their music books in existence and explain the ballads from new point. As case study of Ningqiang's ballads, the paper will deal with their being environment and background, the analysis of their music and culture existence and comparison with other ballads such as neighbor's and Qiang's and come to the conclusion that Ningqiang's ballads are multifold . The paper is organized into three parts.First, the natural well being of the ballads are studied, mainly, from the geography environment and culture and society environment. The analysis referred to mountains, rivers, roads, district ascription, populations, nationality and spirit. Since the geography situation, communication advantage and population migratory, the Ningqiang's culture not only contain that of Sichuan, Hubei, Hunan etc. but also contains Qiang's.Second, it is analyzed by music itself and come to the conclusion that Ningqiang's ballads include elements of other ballads as mentioned above which can be found on the melody, tone and tonality, tune and harmonious. Especially, Ningqiang's ballads is near compactness with Qiang's on melody, tone and tonality, tune and harmonious because of history and nationality. And this is another proof of Ningqiang's ballads multifold character.At last, the analysis of culture background of Ningqiang's ballads show that the ballads is not only the reflection of the everyday life and psychology, but also the affect of everyday life.All the evidence show that Ningqiang's ballads not only have some relations with Qiang's ballads but also connect with other ballads in other places.
