The Chinese modern local novels is no exception. Taking an overview of the history of modern local novels, it is not difficult to find an implied basic imagination, it is the nation-state imagination and the dream of the history of the Chinese nation-building of a prosperous modern, "New China".But how to achieve the establishement goal of the modern nation-state,actually has the different choices in the modern China's different historical stage, and the different writers also have the different choices regarding this.
