Study On The Social Rehabilitation Of The Hubei - Henan - Anhui Revolutionary Base Area

During the existence of E-Yu-Wan revolutionary base, a series of social reformations were carried on by the CCP to accelerate the social development and consolidate the base at the same time. These reformations covered many aspects of the society and achieved great success in some extent. But because of the lack of experience many a miserable mistake was also committed. By reviewing the great history of the social reformations this article probed several crucial reforming activities, such as government construction, land reform, women liberation and education development, etc. Through these analyses the author really hoped to afford some constructive suggestions to the social reform taken on nowadays.This article included four parts.In the preface the academic meaning of this research and the former research achievements were set forth. And the scheme of composition was also explained.The first part reviewed the gloomy social situations before the revolution-the unbearable political corruption, unreasonable land distribution and the less developed education. All of these problems called people to take a thorough social reformation.The second part detailed the reforming activities towards the old political power and the land regulations. Under the lead of the CCP, the brave peasants pulled down the former evil domination and set up the soviet government, which successfully helped them got liberation not only in politics but also in economy.The third part mainly introduced the reformations in culture and education aspects. Through the hard work, new education system was brought into effect and social custom was changed a lot. People's mental quality was great improved.The fourth part studied women's liberation movement. With the breakdown of feudal ethical code the traditional marriage was rejected. More and more women took part in the political affairs and agriculture production. They got the equal rights with men at the first time.The last part was the conclusion. Compared with the cotemporary practice of the national government and rural construction sects, the social reformation carried by the CCP should be highly regarded. But because of the military siege of KMT government and the lack of experience, the social reformations were also displayed some wartime features and a number of serious mistakes were committed. Anyhow the mainstream of the social reformation was correct. And no doubt the lessons of it could be beneficial to the new-rural-construction project.
