In this research, the interview method was mainly adopted. By two approaches of defining and reason explaining, the researcher studied 300 children's cognition of the related concepts of psychological health, the children were aged between 45 months and 80 months. These concepts include health, rejoicing, anger, grief, fear, bravery, persistence, cooperation, self-effacement and failure.Through the generalization and coding the results of interview, the researcher generalized nine forms of the children's defining the psychological health related concepts, which include "unknown" "incorrect cognition" "using original words to make sentences" "using concrete examples to illustrate" "describing the reasons" "describing the results" "intuitive features" "essential attribute" "practical functions". And among these forms there is a distinct difference in the proportion of people. Concrete citing (27.27%) and reason description (24.53%) are mainly used by the children to define the related concepts. The above mentioned 11 forms are classified to three levels. Among the children who have been interviewed, 16.37% of them belongs to level I ( who are short of concepts understanding); 64.73% of them belongs to level II (who can define the related concepts according to the concrete objects or external characters ); 18.91% of them belongs to level III( who can define the related concepts according to the non-internal attributes of objects and the relationship between men and objects or between objects and objects). Thus it can be summarized that the children's cognition of the related concepts of psychological health largely depends on the concrete visualization of things, his feelings and sensation. Besides, the statistical analysis shows there are some differences in age, sex and kindergarten aspects. For the children's defining level, there is a distinct difference among the different aged children (the concepts include rejoicing, anger, grief, bravery, persistence, cooperation, self-effacement and failure); there is a distinct difference among the children who came from the different kindergartens (the concepts include health, rejoicing, grief, persistence, cooperation); there is not any distinct difference between boys and the girls (all concepts are included).By the research, the researcher generalized 8 forms of reason explaining about children's cognitions of the related concepts of psychological health. The eight forms are "no explaination" "incorrect explaination" "explaining according to defining" "explaining according to performance" "explaining according to measures" "explaining according to results" "explaining according to functions" "explaining according to the direct reasons". Among these forms there is a distinct difference in the proportion of people. The children mainly explain the related reasons according to consequences, functions or direct reasons. On this basis, the researcher generalized the aforesaid features and reached a conclusion that the children's cognition of the related concepts of psychological health is affected by the development level of their thoughts, their life experience, the linguistic features of the concepts and the education they have received. Then the researcher made some suggestions on the psychological health education for preschool children. At last, the researcher reflected on this study and put forward some points that need further improvement.
